A portfolio project developed in 2009 by acclaimed video editor Dennis Ryan, The Cutting Lab strives to take advantage of a growing network of talent, software solutions and years of experience to bring you affordable, high-quality video results. We constantly endeavor to bring you modern workflow ideas for any type of post-production scenario. The Cutting Lab can setup a live screencast for remote editing sessions, send a Portable Lab to meet you at your event for on-the-fly editing, and makes a point of collaborating with talented freelancers capable of providing even more services (camera, web development, 3D).*  Our experience with a broad range of clients and multiple editing/design platforms makes us incredibly versatile!

Dennis Ryan

Since 2003, Dennis has been following his passion for digital media working as an editor, graphic designer and video director. Early experiences in small studios fostered his ongoing philosophy that a solution exists for every need a client might have. That determination led to jobs on Making the Cut: Last Man Standing and Road Hockey Rumble (for which he won a 2008 Leo Award for best picture editing)!

Recently, Dennis has worked on video projects for diverse clients such as Sugoi, dunnhumby, Bikram Yoga, Chipotle, Vancity and Wal-Mart.
